A big project on a tight schedule, the tristream team included 7 people, including senior producer, project manager, experience designers, visual designers, html scripters and back end liason.
Cisco brilliantly made two key project managers available, one from the business side and one from the IT side. This was critical to the project in facilitating consensus and “fast-track” decisions across the 10 or so Cisco stakeholders who needed to make approvals.
Also critical to the project success, Cisco provided 2 full time "design partners" for the project. These were people in their organization who knew the application well, were familiar with the user segments and their workflows, and who had good application design sensibilities. They worked daily with the tristream team in informal meetings (often over the phone, with emailed prototypes) where revision recommendations were made before presenting the designs to stakeholders.
